Longtime UFC announcer Joe Rogan thinks Ronda Rousy is done fighting. Rogan talked about Rousey’s fight with Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on the latest episode of his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience” last week with fellow commentators Bas Rutten and Mauro Ranallo.

“I don’t think she is. Amanda Nunes is a very, very dangerous puncher. She kicks and punches so (expletive) hard, and she has long arms. She puts you on the end of those long punches, and she dinged Ronda very early in the fight, and you could tell she was rocked.”

Since the loss to Nunes Rousey has kept a very low profile. The former champ put out a statement saying she wanted to take some time to figure out what was next. She also put a cryptic quote on Instagram citing she would rebuild herself after hitting rock bottom.

When asked about if Rousey should fight again Rogan said shouldn’t challenge for a belt right away.

“If she does, she should come back in a calculated manner. Don’t just rush in and fight for the title like she did. I think that’s crazy. Taking a year off taking a head kick getting knocked out – where’s your head at? Was she 100 percent committed to this as far as training for the entire time off, or did she just get in really good shape over the last few months and had she been training at all before then?”

It will be interesting to see what Rousey will do next. She didn’t want to do any media leading up to her fight last month and she stayed out of the limelight for over a year following her loss to Holly Holm in 2015. Rousey could choose to come back or retire and try her hand at the WWE on a limited basis similar to what Brock Lesnar has done since he left the UFC several years ago. There are conflicting reports out there about whether or not the WWE has interest but since she has been a lifelong fan I think there is a better chance of her going to work for Vince McMahon and having a marquee match at Wrestlemania than going back to the octagon.
